The photos above are of Little and some of his buddies.  Lately all of his stuffed animals and "doll like" toys (I said "doll LIKE" toys, Dada) seem to be his good buddies.  I hope everyone has a great weekend and can spend some time with friends.  Just don't end the get together by wrestling with your buddies like Little does with his.  Have a fantastically great happy weekend!!

So Dada and I have decided that we are going to have my lil sis, Tia Lorri, take Little's 2 year photos!  She has a  great eye for capturing special moments and can usually get some great shots of the ever moving Little.  Another plus about this is that Little will act totally natural because he knows Tia Lorri and won't get weirded out when she starts shooting away, as he would if it were a stranger.  So as you can see Im on the hunt for a great outfit for my Little!! Were doing it early for great light and hopefully its not mind numbingly hot!!
When I first found out i was pregnant with a baby boy, i thought to myself "I have no idea how to dress a boy".  But I find that its the most fun EVER!! I love shopping for Little way more than I do for myself.  Can you see Little in any of the outfits above??
Bad news Dada, I can see him in ALL of them!!!

Im Loving Right Now

Thats right, today is Super Hero Day at daycare for Little.  He went as the hulk, except we didn't want him to faint in the heat so we let him wear shorts instead of the pj bottoms and he wouldn't keep his mask on.... but look at those muscles!! When we arrived at daycare it was nice to see that there were plenty of other super heros there as well, we saw 2 spidermen and a wolverine.  I may have forgotten to mention that it was Super Hero or Princess day, so there were quite a few princess's in tiaras there as well.

Little has been doing the cutest/weirdest/silliest things lately:

1. He seems to really miss Dada- meaning he will call out for Dada when he leaves or cry when he realizes that Dada isn't there.  The other day we visited Dada at work and when he left, Little had a mini meltdown.  This is pretty new and heartbreaking.

2. After lining up all of his little cars, he turns them all upside down.  Out of nowhere he'll start calling for me to come see a line of little tin cars upside.  In turn I, like always, gasp in awe and tell him what a great job he's done while he stares up at me in accomplishment.  I have yet to catch a picture of this adorableness, but Ill keep my phone close just in case he keeps it up.

3. Little really likes to pretend to get knocked out.  Dada and Little love to pillow fight and after a few soft smacks, Little will jump and pretend to be knocked out. It goes something like this:  Dada tosses pillow at Little, Little then falls down dramatically onto the bed, and after a few minutes of laying still he calls out for us to come over with a kiss him to revive him.  Its kind of weird, really cute and very dramatic!

Ready Set Go

Hello new week!!

So far Little at 2 years old has been pretty good to us,  i probably sound like a deluded first time parent!  As you can see in the photos above, its getting harder to capture some un-blurry photos of Little. Then again, thats probably my fault because I decided to pull out my phone for a few shots at Gymboree.  Gymboree, where no child can be still for more than 5 seconds- its like an unspoken rule amongst the toddlers.

We had a very low key weekend in Casa de Little: Pizza and a scary movie (Silent House) at Tia Linda's house Friday, Gramma-cooked enchiladas & tostadas on Saturday and lunch at the Galleria with a good friend on Sunday. 

Tomorrow is Super Hero Day at daycare, so Dada bought a Hulk pj set and mask for Little to wear!  Unfortunately Little found the pjs and had a mini meltdown when I refused to let him wear it to lunch yesterday.  I won the pj battle this time but I'm pretty sure I won't be so lucky the next time, after all whats toddler-hood if not wearing your favorite outfit every day of the week.

Weekend Goodies

Big hello everybody, especially you dear Friday!!

Ive got a lot on my mind as of late, so I'm putting it all out on the table..along with links:

Dada and I just signed up for The Color Run!! The best way I can explain it is; we'll run, walk, skip & hop 3 miles on a course and will be covered by awesome color dust along the way! Im pretty sure if you go to the website they will explain it much better though, its also called "The Happiest 5k on the Planet".  Its in November and Im not in the greatest shape so Dada and I will start running a couple days a week to get ourselves ready!!

So I went and saw a little indie film called MAGIC MIKE!!! And in my best Matt McConaughey voice "alright alright alright"!! Ok back to what I originally wanted to say: I saw a preview for a movie that looked very entertaining! Pitch Perfect, the premise is 2 college a cappella groups go head to head in competition. It sounds like it would be campy but the preview looked pretty good, Im kinda excited!

Im loving Rebel Wilson right now!! I loved her in Bridesmaids, she looks absolutely hilarious in Pitch Perfect (the other reason I want to see it) and shes going to be in another movie called Bachlorette I think I will check out. Yeah thats right, Im a chic flick lova! But again, this woman is proving to be amazing!!

My birthday is coming up!! Im going to be 27 on August 25th, Im really excited because Dada and I are planning a little get away to Austin to celebrate. It will only be one night away and Little will stay with Gramma, I don't think I could make it longer than that.  Its been quite awhile since Dada and I have been away, by ourselves, together.  Lately Ive been reading more and more about Austin so that we can get as much fun packed in those 2 days as possible, this sure helped.  Something else to think about when planning a trip... what will i wear?

When Dada took Little to the Dr he had his blood taken, which he did like a champ according to Dada. So the Dr called me today to let me know that according to the blood work Little will need to take a multivitamin with iron from now on.  Ok first of all, Im very happy and thankful that it wasn't anything too bad. Second of all, it is very scary when the Doctor himself calls and says, "Im calling about Jude's bloodwork...". As soon as he said that phrase, my face felt cold as if all the blood drained from it!  Thankfully, like i said, it wasn't anything bad.

We'll be at Tia Linda's tonight hanging out, eating pizza and watching scary movies.  This weekend will probably be very laid back, which is always nice. I hope everybody has a great weekend out there!!

(and Little's doctor) We have a string bean baby!  Dada took Little to his 2 year check up; he is 26 lbs, 35 inches and absolutely healthy!!  We love our string bean baby!!
